That appears to be enough as Osimhen and His Agent were Satisfied with Napoli’s Apology and agreed to bury the hatchet

Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has refused to follow through on his threat to sue the club for a pair of questionable TikTok posts. On Thursday, the Partenopei issued an official apology. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via OneFootball), this appears to be enough to put an end to the debate.

The club clarified its position.

“To avoid any potential exploitation of the situation, Napoli would like to state unequivocally that the club never intended to offend or mock Osimhen, who is a valuable asset to the club.” Throughout the summer, Napoli turned down all proposals to sign the striker, demonstrating the club’s high regard for him.

Expressive language is utilized in a lighthearted and humorous manner on social media, particularly TikTok. There was no purpose of ridicule or scorn in this case concerning Victor. If Victor was offended in any way, that was not the club’s aim.”

The striker returned to the stat-sheet against Udinese after a tense lead-up to the contest. Rudi Garcia downplayed the situation in his post-match remarks to DAZN (via TuttoSport).

“I’ve had a great working connection with him since the first day I arrived here. He had some bad luck recently, but he remained calm, as I instructed him. He should have kicked the PK because changing the taker when he makes a mistake is wrong. There was no malice intended, neither on TikTok nor by him when he removed his Napoli-related photos. I can assure you that he adores this squad and will give his all this season.”
