The Grimsby Town staff are supporting the Prostate United campaign

Throughout October, Grimsby Town workers will be supporting the Prostate United campaign and raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Assistant Manager Chris Doig and other members of the coaching staff will attempt to do 5km of running or 10km of cycling every day in October in the hopes of raising funds and increasing awareness of prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the most frequent cancer in men, with about 52,000 cases diagnosed each year, or 144 men every day. Every 45 minutes, one man dies from prostate cancer, amounting to almost 12,000 men per year. In his lifetime, one in every eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Throughout the month, we will provide supporters with updates on the coaching staff’s progress via our social media channels.

If you’d want to contribute to their challenge, you may do so by going here.

Best wishes, Doigy and team!
