The causes behind Lewis Hamilton’s vengeance against Geoge Russell

The Suzuka Grand Prix is considered one of the auxiliary rivalries between two of the top Mercedes drivers this season, Geoge Russell and Lewis Hamilton, and with what recently occurred on the court, fans and media have been excited and waiting to learn the truth behind the situation, Mercedes has finally broken the silence between the teammate field. Mercedes has been trailing Red Bull after losing six races this season, but this controversy has kept them in the spotlight. According to team principal Toto Wolf, the collision between brand drivers during the qualifying race for the grand prix may have appeared silly, but it was merely an accident.

A breakdown in communication During the Suzua Grand Prix, there was a fierce battle on the track between the two Mercedes drivers. The two formula 1 drivers collided while driving at speeds of over 180 km/h as they began the ultimate queue to qualifying laps, which resulted in Hamilton receiving damage in the front wing as he was forced into the grass, Rusell who had to embark on his final lap only had enough time for one attempt while Hamilton was lining up for the session final lap,

To make matters worse, Carlos Sainz from Ferrari was directly behind them and cut back across, resulting in the collision between him and Hamilton. Mercedes initially try to handle the situation calmly, but Rusell appears unsure by giving up his position to Hamilton. Carlos ultimately yielded to Hamilton, who had fresher compound tires, but Rusell had to defend against the strong Ferrari closing in, which he couldn’t do and both Mercedes drivers finished in 5th and 7th place. Toto Wolf went on to say that this was simply a misunderstanding because drivers from the same team are not aiming to collide with one another, especially on their definity lap to the qualifying race.

The circumstance was bad because Hamilton had just completed a lap and Rusell had his final opportunity and did not realize his teammate was starting another lap. Hamilton himself stated that their initial plan was for Geoge to set his time first and he would talk about  his time plan to extended slipstream to one another which increase the confusion, basically, they were set out at different times and he had no idea Geoge was there, Bradley Lord director of Mercedes also talk aboutrt tension between the two drivers saying that Rusell and Hamilton were racing very hard but pushing to the limit can be quite tricky

There was a type of radio traffic that we need to reflect on, but over the years we developed the habit of not giving a thought about the conversation happening in the heat of the moment, especially in a demanding race like this one, Lord added that anything important that needed to be discussed can be done after what in a calming environment away from the stress, Toto Wolf also said the team had tried their best to learn from this episode and we will both examine the radio traffic

There is no internal drama in the situation, the car should have been investigated more quickly after the incident, and Rusell was not found guilty due to the medicating occurrences, Rusell had a remarkable debut with Mercedes last year by outscoring Hamilton, and both drivers have been stirring together ever since until they will enter their final year in 2025.
