Four academy youngsters are in international action for their countries throughout the current break having received call-ups.

Lewys Benjamin has rejoined Wales’ under-19s for their three UEFA U19 European Championship qualifying round matches.

The under-18 goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in the opening game, a goalless draw against Austria, with games against England and hosts Montenegro still to play.

Defender Marvin Kaleta is in Tunisia with the DR Congo under-20s for an international friendly double header.

The first game takes place on Friday (13th October) afternoon, and the two teams will meet again on Monday (16th October).

Bjorn Marwa played in two friendlies for Norway’s under-17 team this week, both against England.

The Three Lions won the first game 3-0 on Wednesday, with Marwa coming on for the final 13 minutes, before Norway drew 2-2 two days later at St. George’s Park.

In other news, David Osifo has been called up to the Austria under-16s side for two friendly matches against Slovenia this week, on Wednesday and Friday.

Osifo started, played 67 minutes, and had an assist in the first game, which Austria won 6-1, before coming on for the final 22 minutes on Friday, when Austria won again, this time by two goals to one.
