Daniel Farke shares ‘difficult’ decision as quality of the loan players at Leeds United will be hard to keep

The 19-year-old forward told the Yorkshire Evening Post on Wednesday (18 October) that the Whites manager is a “great coach” who has been “pushing” the young players.

The England U-20 international stated that it will be “difficult” to get into the Germans’ first-team plans, but that he is trying hard to acquire as many minutes as possible at Elland Road.

“Obviously it’s a difficult task to get into the Leeds team,” Joseph stated. “They obviously have a good team.” They’re playing pretty well right now. But obviously, I’m working hard, trying to get as many minutes as possible in a club like Leeds, and just putting my head down and working hard.

“From what I’ve seen, Daniel is a fantastic coach.” He’s pushing the young guys, and he was surprised by all of them during the preseason.

“It’s going to be difficult because there are senior players who have done well this year.” But it’s attempting to get into that team by doing anything it can.”

It should come as no surprise that Farke was impressed by the caliber of the young players already at Elland Road.

Over the years, the club’s academy has done a great job of producing players capable of playing in the first squad.

Leeds fans will be pleased to learn that the manager has shown an interest in the club’s younger players as well as those in the first team.

He has given Archie Gray his moment to shine in the senior team this season, and the 17-year-old has not disappointed after a string of superb displays.

Despite being listed on the bench twice this season, Joseph has yet to play for the Whites, but with some strong offensive alternatives ahead of him, he will just have to be patient and seize his chance when it comes.
