Leeds United transfers with Max Wober deal dependent on Daniel Farke’s statement

Max Wober was one of several first-team players who left Elland Road on loan following the club’s relegation. The Austria international had only joined in January, but he had already completed a season-long loan move to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Wober, on the other hand, has definitely made an immediate effect with the Bundesliga club, according to Rheinische Post via SportWitness. According to the title, the defender was brought in to fill a ‘critical void’ in the team and has thus far demonstrated that ‘no shoes are too big’ for the loanee.

According to the article, Gladbach’s chances of signing Wober on a permanent basis are dependent on whether or not Daniel Farke successfully leads his side to promotion. The club struck a permanent agreement for Julian Weigl in the summer for a cost in the region of £6 million, however there is no indication of how much Leeds would seek to permit a sale at this time.

It is easy to say that Kalvin Phillips’ time at Manchester City has not gone as planned. Injuries plagued the midfielder during last season’s treble-winning campaign, and the 27-year-old has dropped further down the pecking order based on Pep Guardiola’s recent team selections in Rodri’s absence.

Despite his lack of club experience, Phillips started England’s Euro 2024 qualification triumph over Italy on Tuesday night. However, the former Whites star says he must make a decision about his future in light of the summer competition.

“I know that I need to be playing games and competing every weekend,” Phillips told reporters. I’ll have to make a decision about [my future] in the coming months.”

“He [Gareth Southgate] just says that for me to keep my spot, I have to be playing games,” he subsequently added. That’s exactly what I intend to accomplish. On that, I agree with Gareth.”
