Its a questionable report as the team issue injury update ahead of the clash against the Atlanta Falcons

The Minnesota Vikings have made a significant update to their injury report as they prepare to head south to face the Atlanta Falcons tomorrow afternoon, and it might have a significant impact on their Week 9 battle.

Christian Darrisaw, the team’s left tackle who was added to the injury report on Friday with a groin complaint (despite being listed as a full participant), has been downgraded to “questionable” on the team’s injury report. This reduces his chances of playing on Sunday against a strong Falcons defense.

As it stands right now, David Quessenberry is listed as Darrisaw’s backup at left tackle, though last season the team turned to Blake Brandel at that spot when Darrisaw was dealing with concussion issues. Brandel is currently listed as the backup at right guard but could definitely be an option to take Darrisaw’s spot if he can’t go.

The team also activated wide receiver Jalilor from injured reserve and used practice squad raises for linebacker Nick Vigil and defensive lineman T.J. Smith on Saturday. Vigil will be promoted to the main roster for the second week in a row, while Smith will be promoted for the first time this season.

The Vikings also announced the addition of offensive lineman Coy Cronk to the practice squad. Cronk, who was recently released from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad, was with the team in 2021 and 2022. He was promoted off the Jaguars’ practice squad for the final three regular season games of 2022, as well as both postseason games played by Jacksonville last season.

We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Christian Darrisaw’s status for Sunday, though we won’t know for sure until the inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
