AC Milan are having a bit of a nightmare in defense and are considering a move for Chelsea and Arsenal defender

According to Italian media, AC Milan are having a defensive nightmare and may make a move for Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior.

Kiwior only joined Arsenal in January of this year, for a fee of around £20 million.
However, the defender has struggled to make an impression on Mikel Arteta and has only started a few games in defense.

With AC Milan’s defensive issues, it’s been suggested that the Rossoneri could look to sign Kiwior in January.

AC Milan want to sign Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior

Kiwior is one of several names being considered by Milan, according to Calciomercato. It comes after two key defenders for the Italian giants were injured, leaving them short on options.

Milan is said to be interested in Kiwior, who is also a fan of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Kiwior, who has been praised for being a’very fast’ defender, may relish the opportunity to return to Italy and play on a more regular basis.

However, with Arsenal likely to be involved in both the Premier League and the Champions League, Mikel Arteta is unlikely to sanction such a move.

Kiwior may end up having to simply be patient and play his part as the season progresses.

Arsenal can’t afford to sell just yet

It would be telling if Arsenal did indeed sanction Kiwior’s sale just a year or so after he joined.

For one thing, it would demonstrate that he isn’t particularly impressed. Second, it would almost be an admission by the club that they were mistaken.
However, Arsenal simply cannot afford to lose players right now unless they can replace them with ready-made stars.

So, while Kiwior may not see much action this season, he will still have a role to play.

With that, it’s difficult to see Kiwior leaving, even if the lure of AC Milan exists.
