Brighton injury concerns ahead of their Europa League clash against Ajax as five players ruled out

Injury-hit Roberto De Zerbi cautioned When Brighton plays injured Dutch powerhouse Ajax in their Europa League match at the Johan Cruyff Arena, they shouldn’t anticipate an easy trip.

Following a dismal start to the new season, the visitors fired head coach Maurice Steijn, and the Seagulls opened their Group B campaign with a 2-0 victory over Ajax at the Amex Stadium two weeks ago.

But when permanent replacement John Van’t Schip, a former Netherlands international, was named, Ajax has won back-to-back Eredivisie games to move up from the bottom of the standings.

Ajax is aiming for their first Europa League victory in order to maintain their hopes of making it to the knockout stages after drawing both of their first Group B games.

All four teams are presently separated by just three points, with Marseille leading the way followed by AEK Athens and Brighton in third.

Before the game in Amsterdam on Thursday night, De Zerbi stated, “They are very different because they changed the coach.” “On Sunday, I watched the game versus Heerenveen. They won a crucial game and performed well in it. They are distinct, they scored four goals.

“But for us, nothing changes because we have to win the game,” De Zerbi said at a press conference.
