Newcastle and Brighton in battle for the 18-year-old as scouts sent to watch the sensational player as he ravage Man United on Wednesday

Scouts from both Brighton and Newcastle were present to watch Copenhagen youngster Roony Bardghji play against Manchester United on Wednesday.

According to Jeunes Footeux, they were one of several teams to send a representative to see the 18-year-old shine against Erik ten Hag’s squad.

According to them, Bardghji is a “name worth remembering,” and he proved it against Manchester United by scoring the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.

That was his 11th goal of the season, confirming his status as one of Europe’s potential rising stars, with him already dubbed the “Swedish Messi.”

The big clubs in Europe are all keeping an eye on him, and both Newcastle and Brighton sent scouts to watch him for Copenhagen’s match against Manchester United on Wednesday.

They are all aware that Bardghji’s current contract will expire in 2025, and that unless he signs a new contract, Copenhagen will be forced to sell sooner rather than later. Indeed, they believe he’should certainly’ be a transfer target in the January transfer window.

It remains to be seen whether this means he will end up in England, but Brighton and Newcastle are keeping an eye on him and were rewarded for their trip with his performance.
