Latest injury and team news ahead of Blackburn Rovers and Preston North clash at Ewood Park as 10 out and two in doubts

On Friday night (November 10), Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End will face off in the Lancashire Derby at Ewood Park.

Both teams meet in their final game before the November international break, and bragging rights in the county are at stake. North End earned four points out of a possible six from Blackburn last season, and they won 4-1 the last time they visited.

In PNE’s last match they defeated Coventry City 3-2 in front of their home supporters at Deepdale. Haji Wright put the Sky Blues in front but Duane Holmes quickly responded and then just a few minutes later Alan Browne scored a penalty to give the hosts the lead. Milutin Osmajic then got in on the act, and but for Wright’s second goal of the game, it was a straight-forward victory for Ryan Lowe’s men.

Blackburn won 3-1 against Norwich City at Carrow Road last time out, putting their disappointments against Chelsea and Swansea City behind them. Tyrhys Dolan scored first, and Sammie Szmodics added a brace inside 50 minutes to secure a convincing victory in East Anglia.

The two teams are separated by four places and three points before the game begins. North End are sixth, while Rovers are tenth, and a win for Blackburn on Friday night would see them overtake their local rivals, while PNE could move up to fourth.

Look through to see which players are questionable and who will not play on Friday night. There are some explanations from Jon Dahl Tomasson and Ryan Lowe in the gallery about where some of the players are in their recovery.
