The Los Angeles Chargers are set for their Week 10 matchup against the 6-2 Detroit Lions, but it won’t be easy. The Lions will visit Los Angeles in the hopes of delaying the start of the 2023 season. The Chargers, on the other hand, will try to spoil the Lions’ incredible start to the season.
A lot is at stake for both teams, as a win could boost their playoff seeding, while a loss could do the same but with far-reaching consequences.
The Bolts are the underdogs, despite the fact that they are playing at home, and they will try to be the spoiler. Los Angeles may have it a little easier, as the Lions have eight players on their injury report.
Four of Detroit’s players have the questionable tag, are doubtful, or are listed as out.
The other four Lions were in the injury report earlier in the week but will be available for their Week 10 showdown. One of Detriot’s most significant players who will be out there is running back David Montgomery.
Montgomery is having an incredible year. In five games, the 26-year-old has 385 rushing yards on 94 carries, six rushing touchdowns, and an average of 4.1 yards per carry. The Chargers will look to continue their strong run defense, as they are ranked sixth in opponent rush yards allowed, allowing only 3.7 and allowing only 89.8 rush yards per game (6th).
It will be a battle of two very talented teams, and we’ll see if the Chargers can exploit the less talented team.
