Celtic star makes transfer admission as Leeds United and others are being linked with the midfielder

Celtic and Rangers are currently on international break, and both entered the final break of 2023 with a win. The Bhoys thrashed Aberdeen to reaffirm their top-flight dominance, while Rangers defeated Livingston.

The two teams are currently separated by an eight-point margin, but the Gers still have a game in hand, which could cut the gap to five points. But all of that will come after the international break, so in the meantime, we’ve compiled a list of all the latest news and transfer rumours involving the two Glasgow giants.

Following speculation about a possible move last summer, Celtic star Matt O’Riley has hinted at a move away from Celtic Park in January or the summer. Leeds United and other clubs were interested in the midfielder.
“I have played in the Champions League against many good teams, and I feel ready (to take the next step), but I am already playing for a good team,” the Denmark international told Tipsbladet. It’s difficult to predict what will happen.”

Fashion Sakala, a former Rangers player, believes the club can challenge for the title now that Philippe Clement has been hired. “The big question is ‘can Clement win the league?'” he told The Herald. And, based on how the team is performing, I am very optimistic.

“The Rangers are looking strong. Of course, the other team is doing well, but I’m a Rangers fan, and I hope the Rangers continue to win and win the league. I’d be thrilled if they won the league.”
