Newcastle United is hit with major injuries and is ready to battle it out with Manchester United and West Ham United for 27-year-old centre-back

Newcastle United is ready to compete with Manchester United and West Ham United for Jonathan Tah’s services.
Newcastle United, according to The Sun, are interested in signing Jonathan Tah. The Magpies are looking to strengthen their defense during the upcoming winter transfer window, and the 27-year-old Bayer Leverkusen defender is a top target. Die Werkself are asking £20 million for the centre-back, who is also wanted by Manchester United and West Ham United.

Tah joined Bayer Leverkusen from Hamburg in 2015 for a fee of around £6.5 million. He has progressed steadily since then, and he is now one of the most important players on their first team.

The 27-year-old has appeared in over 300 matches for Bayer Leverkusen and has assisted on 23 goals. In the current season, he has appeared in 16 games and scored four goals.

Tah’s outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, and there is considerable interest in his services. While Leverkusen would like to keep him for a few more years, his contract expires in the summer of 2025. With just over 18 months left on his contract, the German club may look to cash in on him if the right offer comes along.

Newcastle United is among the clubs interested in signing him in January. After the injuries to Sven Botman and Dan Burn, the Magpies are looking for defensive reinforcement. Eddie Howe’s absence is a huge blow, and he wants to make sure he has enough depth to handle such situations.

Tah has a wealth of experience, and the £20 million-rated centre-back will be an excellent fit for Newcastle United. However, the Magpies will have to compete for his services with Manchester United and West Ham United.

The Red Devils have not had the best of starts to the new season. One of the major reasons has been the number of injuries they have suffered. Quite a few of their defenders are out injured, and Erik ten Hag is keen on defensive reinforcement. Tah is one of the names on their radar.

Meanwhile, David Moyes is looking to bolster his squad. The West Ham manager admires the 27-year-old and would love to have him on his team. His arrival will strengthen their defense and put an end to their defensive struggles. The Hammers have been tracking him for some time and could make a move in the winter.
