Nottingham Forest midfielder could be set to leave the Reds on a permanent deal as he ‘agrees’ transfer exit

According to reports, Gustavo Scarpa has agreed to join Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro on a permanent basis after leaving Nottingham Forest.

According to recent reports, the Reds have received a transfer offer from Mineiro for Scarpa. They are said to have made an offer of between €4.5m and €5m for the playmaker.

The 29-year-old made just six Premier League appearances last season and was loaned out to Olympiacos in the summer. He has since made seven appearances in the Greek Super League but has yet to break into the starting lineup.

And now, according to Brazilian journalist Bira Marinho, a deal has been reached that will see Scarpa return to his native Brazil. In January, Forest signed him on a free transfer from Palmeiras.

“Gustavo Scarpa agreed with Atletico,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He may not be the only Forest outcast who leaves in the January transfer window. Scott McKenna, defender, has been linked with a surprise move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
