The Miami Dolphins have released veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced the release of veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen on Thursday.

Chosen signed as a free agent with Miami in April, was released as part of the August roster cuts, and was later re-signed to the practice squad. He appeared in four games for the Dolphins, including a 68-yard touchdown reception in a 70-20 loss to the Broncos in Week 3.

Chosen has been a healthy scratch for the last three games and appears to have become expendable after the team activated receiver River Cracraft from injured reserve on Tuesday.

He was selected after spending eight seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets (2016-19), Carolina Panthers (2020-22), Arizona Cardinals, and Miami Dolphins.

The move could indicate that the Dolphins are making room on the roster for rookie running back De’Von Achane, who was designated to return from injured reserve by Miami on Monday. A knee injury has kept Achane out of the last four games.
