Broncos head coach Sean Payton learned what a ‘Scorigami’ is after Denver defeated the Browns at home

Sean Payton, head coach of the Denver Broncos, has been in the NFL for so long that one could say he’s seen it all.

Payton just learned a new lesson after Denver defeated the Cleveland Browns 29-12 at home in Week 12.

After the game, Payton was informed that the final score of the Broncos vs. Browns game had hit a scorigami, a concept that the veteran coach admittedly was unaware of (h/t Rachel Strand of ClutchPoints).

Sean Payton called the Broncos-Browns final score a “scorigami”: “Have you ever heard of a ‘gami’?” No. Why? Is it one-of-a-kind? “Are you saying there has never been a score of 29-12?” Payton had no idea what a scorigami was or how to say it before today.

For the record, a scorigami is a never-before-seen final score combination. It’s just a fun little idea that adds some excitement to the game, particularly for fans, but not so much for Payton and football head coaches. What has been making Payton happy recently is the performance of his team on the field.

Scorigami or not, the Broncos are currently one of the hottest teams in the NFL. After a 0-5 start to the 2023 NFL season, the Denver Broncos have gone undefeated in five games, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Minnesota Vikings.

The Broncos, who improved to 6-5, will face the Houston Texans in Week 13 on the road.
