Daniel Farke approved the selling of a 20-year-old versatile player in January summer transfer window

Although it does not appear that much time has passed since the summer transfer window closed, the fun will resume in a month.

The position of a club in their respective league on January 1 will arguably dictate what paths they take in terms of transfers for the second half of the 2023/24 season, in order for any new signings to hopefully help them win any silverware and titles that may be available.

During the summer, Daniel Farke had more to deal with than most, with up to 15 players allowed to leave permanently or on loan.

Leo Hjelde was one player who returned to Elland Road after a loan spell with Rotherham.

According to the Daily Express, the 20-year-old played the first two games under Farke and hasn’t played since, indicating that despite so many departures in the summer, there will undoubtedly be more in January.

Indeed, the outlet believes that a loan move in January followed by a permanent move next summer is the most likely outcome for a player who seemed to promise a lot but delivered little.

With the way Leeds are playing right now, they’re unlikely to change a winning team and risk the great run they’ve been on unraveling.
