Harry Leonard revealed Rovers will head to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday in a confident mood but insists the Owls will be no pushovers.

Rovers will travel to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday with confidence, according to Harry Leonard, but the Owls will not be taken lightly.

Rovers will travel to Yorkshire with high spirits after an impressive week that saw them win at Stoke City and at home against Birmingham City.

Danny Rohl’s Owls have had a difficult season since their relegation to the second tier, but they earned a late point against Leicester City in a top-versus-bottom battle.

Rovers’ recent road form has been excellent, with Tomasson’s men winning each of their last four league trips away from Ewood.

“We scored three goals at Stoke, we scored four against Birmingham and it’s good to get back-to-back wins,” Leonard, who scored the fourth of the night in the emphatic 4-2 win against Birmingham, reflected to RoversTV.

The confidence is high and we want to take it game by game. “We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves and it’s onto Sheffield Wednesday now.

They’ve got good players and they’ll be hard to beat, just as all the teams are in this league.

We’ll go with a game plan and do our best to get the three points.
