Seattle Seahawks fans in protest claim with questionable calls cost that the game was “rigged” for the Cowboys

Some Seattle Seahawks fans believe that questionable calls cost their team a chance to defeat the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. The Cowboys rallied in the second half to defeat the Seahawks 41-35 on Thursday night, improving their record to 9-3 on the season.

With the loss to the Cowboys, the Seahawks fell to 6-6 and are in danger of missing the playoffs after a strong start to the season. The San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles are their next two opponents, in that order.

Thursday night’s penalty stats for the Cowboys and Seahawks were nearly identical. The Seahawks were penalized for 130 yards ten times. The Cowboys were called for nine penalties for 127 yards.

Despite the similar penalty stats, some social media users pointed out that questionable calls aided a few Cowboys drives. Mike McDaniel highlighted a pass interference call on Seahawks defender Bobby Wagner, which allowed the Cowboys to gain a first down.

Another drive was aided by a Seahawks flag that could have been called on Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

During and after the game, Seahawks fans took to X to complain about the NFL being rigged. Here are the best reactions from fans who believe the league rigged another Cowboys victory, despite the stats being nearly equal.
