Pundit David Prutton has claimed that Blackburn Rovers look brilliant but has a key weakness that Leeds United may exploit on Saturday afternoon

Leeds United’s victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon is expected to keep the pressure on the top two teams in the Championship for promotion.

With just one loss in their previous nine games, Daniel Farke’s team is currently leading the Championship. However, they are still seven points behind Ipswich Town in second place and eight points behind league leaders Leicester City in third.

They will next head to Lancashire in an attempt to defeat the Rovers, who have had a respectable start to the season and are currently in seventh place, just two points out of the play-off spots.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side have either been brilliant or woeful this season and that’s reflected in their league record where they have had nine wins and nine defeats in their 19 matches so far this season.

With that in mind, Sky Sports’ leading Football League pundit David Prutton believes Leeds will take advantage of Blackburn’s inconsistency and win 2-1 at Ewood Park.

“Blackburn look brilliant at times this season and on other occasions they manage to throw a result in like the one at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend,” Prutton said in an interview with Sky Sports. “That is why they are just outside the playoffs.”

“Leeds appears to be in excellent condition. But they must win, win, win if they are to close the gap on the top two. It could be close here, but it will be shaded by the far side.”
