Journalist Joe Crann fears it could be a very serious problem for Sheffield Wednesday as they face another injury concern

Sheffield Wednesday won a crucial three points against QPR in the dying moments of the game yesterday. Journalist Joe Crann believes it could be a serious problem for John Buckley.

Wednesday performed admirably in yesterday’s game. They trailed at halftime but rallied to score twice in the final ten minutes of the Championship match.

Wednesday are now just six points adrift of safety, thanks to Huddersfield’s point against Millwall, and have some more winnable games ahead of them.

Buckley’s injury could be severe.
The Blackburn loanee came on as a substitute during the game but was forced off. Crann now fears that the loan player will be out indefinitely.

Buckley has been in good form for Wednesday, so this would be a significant blow. The loanee at Hillsborough will now have to wait and see what happens with the prognosis.

Crann had this to say on Twitter: “Danny Rohl says that it’s too early for any prognosis, but I understand there are concerns that Buckley’s could be a long-term one.”

Buckley would be a significant loss for Wednesday.
Buckley, 24, has made 13 appearances for Wednesday, but he will be out for a while.

Wednesday needs as many players as possible available to fight relegation, and losing Buckley is a setback.

With January approaching, it remains to be seen whether Buckley will now return to Blackburn and clear the way for another loan signing in January.

Buckley is a versatile performer, and Rohl will miss having him on the field. The challenge for Wednesday now is to find a player with similar qualities to Buckley during the January transfer window.

Buckley is having a difficult time because he has come to Wednesday to play football. He’ll be hoping for good news after yesterday, and it’ll now be an anxious wait to find out how long he’ll be out.
