Fans reaction as Detroit Lions wide receiver already surpassed his performance ‘He just won’t die’

Josh Reynolds of the Detroit Lions has steadily risen and is on pace for a career-high season. He’s already surpassed his 2022 performance with 33 receptions, 535 yards, and five touchdowns this season, catching the attention of both fans and team management. On Monday, head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media and revealed a new nickname given to Reynolds by one of his teammates.

Here is what Campbell had to say about Reynolds’ new moniker.

“Somebody referred to him as this morning—I’m not going to tell you who it was—and this was not meant as a negative, but as ‘the cockroach’ because he just won’t die,” says Campbell. “Like this guy just keeps coming back. He simply refuses to leave. He always comes back. And you speak of a resilient man—he’s both resilient and tough.

“He’s one of the best free agent pickups we’ve had in three years.” He greatly aided us in acquiring him at the end of 2021. We kind of got back on our feet, and he was one of the reasons we did that year. And then to have him last year, he’s been a consistent, dependable piece. Someone Goff believes in, and he is a man you can rely on. “You’re going to get some explosives out of him.”

Reynolds’ transformation from a relatively unknown player to a key offensive weapon for the Detroit Lions is a testament to his unwavering spirit and talent. His new nickname, “the cockroach,” is a badge of honor, representing his resilience, toughness, and indispensability on the field. Reynolds is not only approaching a personal best as the season progresses, but he is also redefining what it means to be a valuable team player.
