Leeds United youngster has signed a long term contract according to Fabrizio Romano.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United youngster Finley Gorman has signed a contract with Manchester City.

On Sunday (24 December), the journalist revealed via his personal X account that he turned down three bids from Premier League clubs to sign the deal.

On Friday (22 December), Romano reported on X that the 15-year-old attacker had passed his medical at Manchester City.

“Understand Finlay Gorman has signed the contract as new Manchester City player from Leeds United,” Romano wrote in an article for X. “2008 born top talent turned down 3 bids from Premier League top clubs to join City.”

Given what the future holds, this is an exciting time for everyone involved in the transaction, especially the player himself.

Manchester City can also be pleased that they have added another talented young player to their squad, as the Etihad club already has a plethora of top young players.

Finally, Leeds can be proud of themselves for assisting in the development of the teenager and getting him to a Premier League giant so early in his career.

Gorman’s hard work will only begin now, as the youngster will need to prove himself at Manchester City in the coming years.

And if he does, the rewards will be substantial, with Pep Guardiola demonstrating his willingness to give young players ample opportunities to shine on the field.

The agreement can also serve as motivation for any other young Elland Road talent, with a move to the big time not being out of the question.
