Hull City are closing in on the capture of the 24 year old Turkish international

Hull City are close to signing Turkish international Abdulkadir Omur, which would be another big display of desire from owner Acun Ilicali.

City had been attempting to sign the 24-year-old creative midfielder for several weeks but had been unable to persuade Trabzonspor to do so, with the former Super Lig champions preferring to sell him to a domestic club; however, owner Ilicali has made a breakthrough in the last 24 hours, agreeing on a fee thought to be in the region of £4 million.

The midfielder, who was linked with £20 million-plus moves to Manchester City and Liverpool earlier in his career, is said to have informed Papaya Park officials that he wanted to go to the MKM Stadium. A deal might be completed early this week, with the player scheduled to be in England to finalize the details of his move.

Abdulkadir’s arrival is expected to unleash a frenzy of late business ahead of Thursday’s 11 p.m. transfer deadline, with Ryan Giles’ loan-to-buy deal from Luton Town due to be finalized after Ruben Vinagre was recalled by Sporting Lisbon before being loaned out to Hellas Verona for the rest of the season.

A winger remains a top objective before the end of the week, and some players will be going. As Hull Live reported earlier this week, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is in Belgium to finalize his loan move to Westerlo, while Matt Ingram and Jason Lokilo are also the subject of bids and could go.
