Brighton already has Roberto De Zerbi ‘plan’ amid next Liverpool manager fear

Brighton is preparing for the possibility that its coach, Roberto De Zerbi, would depart to join Liverpool. According to rumors, the Seagulls are preparing contingency plans in case the Italian leaves the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Brighton is considering what to do if De Zerbi leaves because teams around Europe are interested in him. He is in the running to replace Jürgen Klopp at Anfield after he announced his departure at the conclusion of the season.

De Zerbi has made a major effect at Brighton, receiving lots of praise for the way his squad plays and leading them to the Europa League for the first time. Brighton is now tenth in the Premier League and has advanced to the last 16 in Europe.

The Italian has also been linked with Manchester United, where Erik ten Hag’s position is uncertain as INEOS takes over at Old Trafford. However, De Zerbi has indicated that he may remain in Brighton.

In December, De Zerbi stated: “We are discussing the new deal, but we are merely talking right now. Finally, we must analyze the target. If my goals are the same as the club’s, working in Brighton will be an honor. I don’t strive to reach a better level. It is critical for me to fix an important aim.”

When questioned about a possible move to Anfield earlier this year, the Italian manager just shook his head. He stated, “My emphasis is only on the end of the season. We are going to compete and play an important part in the season. We participate in the Premier League to achieve the same goals as last season.”

It’s not surprising that Brighton is prepared for any twists and turns. Following the departures of stars like as Graham Potter, Dan Ashworth, Paul Winstanley, Moisés Caicedo, and Alexis MacAllister, the club has been praised for its ability to fill roles on and off the field.

According to The Telegraph, Sam Jewell, Brighton’s guy in charge of recruiting new players, is also thought to be going, with Chelsea and Manchester United also keen. Jewell has already commended the Seagulls’ strategic planning to be prepared for anything that may occur.

He stated, “We’re incredibly fortunate at Brighton because our succession planning means there is very little turbulence when people go on. Departures are a normal part of football, and while it was sorry to see two extremely talented people depart, it has opened openings for others, including me.”

Liverpool.com says: It’s not surprising that Brighton has planned for De Zerbi’s exit. Even if he does not obtain the Liverpool post, he is likely to be considered for another high-profile position somewhere. Obviously, there is a lot of chatter about Manchester United, but Barcelona is also looking for a new manager, and Bayern Munich may follow suit soon.

De Zerbi will be a contender for the Reds after doing such a good job at Brighton and having his team play attractive football. That should not change Xabi Alonso’s status as the favorite for the job, however.
