ANSU FATI HOPEFUL OF BARCELONA APPOINTING ROBERTO DE ZERBI THIS SUMMER

On-loan Ansu Fati, a Barcelona youngster, could profit from Roberto De Zerbi’s arrival on the bench in the Catalan city this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, which has revealed new details about the attacking prodigy’s future.

Ansu, for his part, has spent the season so far playing for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, which is managed by De Zerbi.
This follows the 21-year-old’s short loan from Barcelona last summer in the hopes of recovering full health and confidence.

His stint on England’s south coast has subsequently been hit-and-miss, with glimpses of brilliance frequently overshadowed by new spells on the sidelines due to injuries.

Despite his continued challenges, Ansu may be able to grant his ultimate wish: to return to his base in Catalunya in preparation for the following season.

According to Sport, if Roberto De Zerbi is named as Xavi’s successor, this is almost a guarantee.

The Italian strategist, who is high on both Deco and Joan Laporta’s management wishlists, is said to be a firm believer in his on-loan wide-man’s abilities.

Ansu Fati and Roberto De Zerbi could be reunited in La Liga this summer, given their excellent off-field friendship.
