The Arizona Cardinals have made themselves clear on their intentions ahead of the NFL Draft after speculation that they could move on from Kyler Murray this offseason after a disappointing season

The Arizona Cardinals have made it obvious that Kyler Murray is their guy. The Cardinals are set to move forward with Murray as their franchise quarterback after publishing a photo of him with the caption “Our franchise QB.”

They hold two first-round selections in the upcoming NFL Draft, including the fourth overall pick. And, while they might draft a quarterback, it appears that they are suddenly interested in Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Murray returned to play for the Cardinals last November after injuring his knee in December 2022, sparking speculation that he could miss the entire season.

The club struggled without Murray, winning only one of their first eight games. With the franchise in contention for the top pick in the draft, they had to decide whether to continue with Murray or take superstar prospect Caleb Williams from USC.

Murray, on the other hand, returned to the club and performed admirably, winning three games to finish the season and propelling the team to a 4-13 record, forcing them to make a decision.

This will most likely result in them receiving the first non-quarterback pick in the draft, with three players in the position expected to be picked in the first three picks – the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots are all looking for quarterbacks.
Harrison Jr. is regarded as one of the best wide receivers to enter the draft in recent history, following two dominant seasons at OSU. He is part of a strong class of wide receivers that includes Malik Nabers (LSU) and Rome Odunze (Washington), both of whom are predicted to be selected in the top ten.

Murray would have an exceptional go-to option to throw to, significantly increasing his chances of success in 2024. Murray and the Cardinals agreed to a five-year, $230 million contract in July 2022. This places him among the highest-paid players in the NFL, as confirmed by Arizona’s latest tweet.

Harrison Jr. startled many on Monday by announcing that he will not be testing at the scouting combine or conducting a Pro Day prior to the draft.
