Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has offered some advice to Ansu Fati after his return to action from injury.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has given Ansu Fati some advise following his return to action from injury.

Fati was picked to the starting XI for the FA Cup match against Wolves in midweek, but was part of an injury-plagued side that lost 1-0 at Molineux.

The teenager has only recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff, and De Zerbi believes he must “push every day 100%” if he is to regain form.

“He can push more, be stronger, play better, and believe more in his abilities,” he said at a press conference.

“He is a sensitive man, a decent guy, and part of my job is to enable these types of players believe in themselves and demonstrate all of their characteristics.

“It’s a challenge for me.” It is difficult to push your players and require them to demonstrate all of their qualities rather than just one.

“Having a talent, such as Ansu Fati, is a huge challenge.

“I think it is habit – push every day 100% on the pitch.”

Brighton’s injury situation means Fati should see plenty of minutes between now and the end of the season, provided he can keep fit.

The Seagulls are facing a big week with Fulham up next in the Premier League and then a trip to Roma in the last 16 of the Europa League.
