The Kansas City Chiefs were able to overcome a mediocre wide receiver corps and multiple offensive gaffes to return to the Super Bowl and win it again.
Their defense deserves the majority of the credit for what they accomplished, but Patrick Mahomes should also be recognized.
Simply simply, having the best quarterback in the game gives you a chance to win no matter who your opponent is.
That’s why former Chiefs standout WR Tyreek Hill recently agreed that Mahomes is still the person to beat and the league’s best player (source: Ryan Clark).
“He’s obviously the best QB in the league,” Hill went on to say.

Hill had obviously taken a shot at Mahomes as soon as he was dealt to the Miami Dolphins.
He stated Tua Tagovailoa, who had yet to break out as a player, was ‘the most accurate quarterback he had ever played with.’
However, he insists he never meant that to be a jab at his former QB.
At the end of the day, everybody’s entitled to their viewpoint, and Tua’s accuracy has really been a wonderful element of his game.
However, even if he is more accurate than Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback remains in a league class of his own, and he will continue to be the face of the game as long as he is healthy.
