Green Bay Packers Game Changer Acknowledges His Contract Market

The Green Bay Packers already have a number of Pro Bowl players on their roster, and it appears that they will have many more in the future. The 2022 and 2023 NFL Drafts have been critical to this organization’s future. They have established various skill positions on the offensive side of the ball.

It’s no secret that the 2024 offseason will be heavily focused on defense, but sooner rather than later, they’ll need to keep one of their defensive mainstays.
Kenny Clark has been a key member of the Packers’ defense for many years. If the Packers want to keep him after 2024, they will need to pay him again.

Clark is actively following the defensive tackle market. On Friday, the Baltimore Ravens announced that All-Pro defensive tackle Justin Madubuike had signed a four-year, $98 million contract with a $75.5 million guarantee.

When it comes time to negotiate a new contract, Clark aims to emulate this agreement.
It is unclear whether his next deal will be in Green Bay or elsewhere. Clark currently has one year left on his contract, and the Packers are not known for awarding third-year contracts frequently. Will they contemplate allowing Clark to become free agency next year?

The Green Bay Packers announced that Kenny Clark has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl team. He took over for Javon Hargrave on the San Francisco 49ers defensive line.

Clark was making his third Pro Bowl appearance, having been chosen as an initial selection in 2021 and as an injury replacement in 2019. In addition, he was appointed alternate in 2018.The only other Packers defensive tackle with three or more Pro Bowl appearances is Henry Jordan (1960-61, 1963, 1966).

Clark started all 17 regular-season games in 2023, recording 7.5 sacks (third most on the team), nine tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, three pass defenses (tied career best in 2018), and 16 quarterback hits (third most). In 2023, he ranked second on the squad with 50 quarterback pressures (NextGen Stat).
