Brighton is reportedly keen to sign Arsenal sensational player who could cost up to £30million as they believe he could fill a similar role to Kaoru Mitoma.

Arsenal are apparently hoping to gain £30 million by selling Reiss Nelson, and Brighton are interested in him because they believe he can perform a similar position to Kaoru Mitoma.

Nelson has yet to start a Premier League game this season, and his longest spell on the pitch in the top division was 26 minutes in a 2-0 loss to West Ham.

While he played as a super sub at times last season, he’d undoubtedly like to be given more minutes. As a result, Football Insider says that he ‘may look to depart’ at the conclusion of the season.

He’s recently been connected with Brighton, and according to the report, the Seagulls are still monitoring the winger, with the scenario potentially growing between now and the summer transfer window.

That’s because they supposedly feel the Englishman, whom they ‘huge admirers of’, could’feature in an inverted winger role,’ similar to what Japanese great Mitoma does.

The wide man, a right-footed left winger, enjoys cutting inside and attacking immediately. Nelson can play on both wings, but he would be equally effective on the left.

Mitoma’s first season was better than this one; he scored seven Premier League goals and provided six assists, compared to three goals and five assists this season.

As a result, Nelson might provide competition for his spot during his brief slump, as well as another option in the attack on the opposite side, given that he can play on either the right or left.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal would like to sell Nelson for between £25 and £30 million this summer.

The top of that bracket would be Brighton’s record signing; they paid £30 million for Joao Pedro from Watford last summer, and he’s been one of their most potent assets this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and assisting twice.

However, if they believe Nelson can make a positive impact, they may be willing to pay a high cost again this summer.

He’s scored a few goals for the Gunners, but he’s never had a consistent role, and it may be time for him to leave and find one elsewhere so that he can fulfill his full potential.
