Brighton & Hove Albion have set their sights on Hertha BSC youngster according to Wednesday’s Bild.

According to Wednesday’s Bild, Brighton & Hove Albion have targeted Hertha BSC youngster Ibrahim Maza.

The 18-year-old progressed through the club’s academy and was promoted to the senior team last season.

Maza was forced to miss the first half of the season due to injury. Since regaining full fitness, he has played 244 minutes in six games, scoring one goal.

Despite making only a few appearances for the second-tier German club, the attacking midfielder appears to have piqued the Seagulls’ interest. It is stated that the player is ‘on the list’ at Brighton.

Hertha BSC was relegated from the Bundesliga last season, and Werder Bremen attempted to take advantage of this by signing the Germany U18 international in the summer. However, they were able to keep him, and he is now under contract until 2026.

Following last weekend’s match against Schalke, the youngster refused to commit his long-term future to Hertha BSC.

“Unfortunately, I cannot disclose that just yet. He remarked, “I’m still thinking about it with my family.”

Bild claims this is because VfB Stuttgart and Brighton have sent representatives to observe him play.
