Ipswich Town fired warning over Kieffer Moore

Carlton Palmer, an EFL pundit and former England international, has stated that in order to recruit Kieffer Moore on a permanent basis, Ipswich Town must first be promoted to the Premier League.

Moore returned to Ipswich in January on a loan agreement until the end of the season from Bournemouth. He previously played for the Tractor Boys in 2017, but failed to score in 11 games.

Moore has six goals and one assist in 10 Championship games, for an average of 0.71 goals per 90.

Ipswich were anxious for a striker to lead the attack as they sought consecutive promotions. Their key forward, George Hirst, had a significant hamstring injury in December, forcing the club to enter the transfer market.

Ipswich is presently third in the Championship, one point behind the top two teams, Leeds United and Leicester City. Leicester also have a game in hand.

Palmer exclusively told FLW: “Kieffer Moore is having a fantastic spell at Ipswich.” He’s flying, scoring goals, and setting up assists. We all know he’s a Premier League player, a Welsh international, and he definitely wants to do well in order to play in the Euros, so he’s doing great.

“Ipswich are now in a dog fight. The three teams, Ipswich, Leeds, and Leicester, are vying for two automatic promotion spots, with one going to the playoffs. Certainly, for Ipswich to sign Kieffer Moore, they must be in the Premier League; they will not be able to pay his type of salary in the Championship, and he will not want to play in the Championship; he just needs to get out there and perform, which he is doing.

“I’ve always said that the top two teams in the division are Leeds and Leicester. I’ll stick to it, and I still believe Ipswich will advance through the playoffs. So, if they make the play-offs, I’m confident they’ll have a decent chance of signing Kieffer Moore on a permanent basis.

“But, given how well he has performed, other Premier League clubs may be looking at Kieffer Moore and saying, ‘This is a player we want to sign.'” This is what you do when you loan out a player; you want him to have the impact he has, and you knew he would have that impact in the Championship.

“So he’s done the job, so if Ipswich get promoted, the owners are very ambitious and have deep pockets, so you could see him signing for Ipswich on a permanent basis.”

Moore has performed admirably thus far for Ipswich, as many predicted.

When Hirst was injured, Kieran McKenna’s team was in a pickle, but Moore has proven to be an excellent alternative.

Moore has performed so well that they may consider bringing him in permanently.

However, they may require promotion to the Premier League to be able to afford him and accommodate his goals.

Moore has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to compete at the Championship level and deserves to be in the top division.

With Dominic Solanke performing so well for the Cherries, he found his game time limited and needed to play ahead of the Euros. He will be trying to be selected for the Wales team.

Because of his strong form, other Premier League teams may want to sign him, therefore Ipswich may believe promotion is required to retain their star player.
