Green Bay Packers: Former All Pro David Bakhtiari Makes Announcement About Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers have moved on from much of their aging talent that has helped the team over the last five years. The young movement was firmly established when future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets. Since then, the Green Bay Packers have replaced Rodgers’ blindside blocker David Bakhtiari, superstar running back Aaron Jones, and former All-Pro De’vondre Campbell.

All of these guys had varied approaches to the media. Aaron Rodgers was a long time coming, and he still speaks well of the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Jones was sudden, with different reports of what transpired, and De’Vondre Campbell has gone on to say he “wasn’t used properly” by the Packers. David Bakhtiari is the newest contributor to the media circus, and he used the chance to laud his short-term quarterback, Jordan Love.

David Bakhtiari was the Green Bay Packers’ left tackle for 11 years and is likely to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame for his exploits with the Packers. Bakhtiari battled injuries in his final years with the squad, leading to his release in the 2024 off-season.

On the Wisconsin ESPN radio show hosted by columnist Jason Wilde and former Green Bay Packer Mark Tauscher, David Bakhtiari opened up to concerns about his future and time with the Packers.

He expressed his gratitude to Green Bay Packers supporters as well as his respect for the city where he was drafted. He expressed regret for not treating an invasive knee ailment earlier. He also praised the new quarterback, Jordan Love, and reiterated what we have heard from several guys.

“He’s a resilient individual…I admire his perseverance in chopping wood and improving his skills. Jordan is a wonderful and humble individual who deserves to be rooted for. It’s too bad I didn’t have more time with him.”- David Bakhtiari spoke about Jordan Love on the Wild and Tausch radio show.

He was also asked about Jordan Love’s possible contract, specifically whether Jordan should receive $50 million per season on a new contract.

“I hope so; I always advocate for the players…” “If you don’t pay him, what will you do, Green Bay?”He’s a brilliant young aspiring player, an incredible person, and a great community member… If he asks for $50 million per year, (the Green Bay Packers) can make it happen.”

Given Jordan Love’s amazing first season as Green Bay Packers quarterback, people all across the world would agree with his statement. With a historic playoff triumph and over 4000 passing yards, the offense is one of the greatest in the NFL.

The league has put this on notice. Both Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney, the Green Bay Packers’ top additions this summer, highlighted Jordan Love as a reason for coming to Green Bay.

“To compete in this league, you must have an excellent quarterback. I believe he’s a fantastic quarterback… I’ve heard that he’s a wonderful leader.Xavier McKinney, when asked about Jordan Love.

“When I saw him make certain throws, I was like, ‘yes, a lot of guys cant do that’, running backwards on one foot and flinging it on a dime… That made me eager. Josh Jacobs on Jordan Love’s impact on his choice to sign with the Green Bay Packers: “The grit he plays with… Yeah, I’m very excited.”

The pattern we can see for the Green Bay Packers this summer is that everyone is looking at Jordan Love and is impressed.
