Sheffield Wednesday are taking a look at young attacker as they prepare for the final push in the Professional Development League.

The teenager was called on the Owls’ bench as they faced Queens Park Rangers on Friday morning, coming on in the second half of a 3-1 victory that moved them up to second in the table – although temporarily.

Ntege, who is still on Peterborough United’s books, had some time on loan at St Ives Town earlier this year, and he appears to be seeking for a fresh chapter in his career after joining the Posh from Hitchin Town last year.It remains to be seen how long the attacker will be permitted to make an impression at Middlewood Road, although the U21s don’t play again until early April, when they face Wigan Athletic on the 2nd – Ntege may have left by then.
He was one of two trialists who appeared for Wednesday on Friday, but unlike Watford striker James Collins, Ntege was a late substitution, coming on after Adam Alimi-Adetoro had already scored two goals. His goals came after Cian Flannery opened the scoring with a spectacular strike.

Collins played the entire 90 minutes in S6, propelling Wednesday to second place in the table, although third-place Sheffield United still has four games on the young Owls.
