4-Star OL Maxwell Riley believes Alabama offer is ‘great honor’

Maxwell Riley left Tuscaloosa with an offer from Alabama football after visiting the Crimson Tide earlier in the week.

Riley is a four-star offensive tackle from Avon Lake High School in Ohio. He is a 2026 talent who has received offers from Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, and others. Kalen DeBoer and Chris Kapilovic of the Tide have extended him an offer.

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity,” Riley told Touchdown Alabama.”I believe it’s a great honor to hold an offer from arguably the greatest and most successful program of all time.”

DeBoer made a positive impression on Riley during his stay.

“Overall, it was a pretty cool experience from the time I spent with him,” said Riley. “I think he’s a great guy and a great coach.”

Kapilovic has had a past relationship with Riley. The visit offered them the opportunity to catch up.

“He is a good man and a good coach,” Riley remarked of Kapilovic. “He recruited me when he was at Michigan State, so it was great to get the chance to reconnect with him.”

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound left tackle looks to overwhelm defensive linemen by putting someone on their back every play with his combination of size and power.
