49ers Have Reportedly Made A Decision About Brandon Aiyuk’s Future

During the 2023 NFL season, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk helped the San Francisco 49ers reach Super Bowl LVIII.

Shortly after the 49ers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, speculations circulated that Aiyuk wanted to leave San Francisco this summer.
Aiyuk is still a member of the 49ers as of Sunday, and it appears that the team expects him to remain on the roster for the 2024 season and beyond, according to 49ers & NFL News 24/7 on Twitter (via Dov Kleiman).

According to the source, San Francisco’s top aim will be to reach an agreement on a contract extension with the brilliant wide receiver following the draft.

Things could change, especially if San Francisco and the wide receiver are unable to reach an agreement before the start of the 2024 season, but there appears to be a fair possibility he will play for the team next season.

Aiyuk finished 16 games with the 49ers in 2023 with 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, a career high.

During his final two seasons with the 49ers, he has 15 touchdown catches, which is tied for eighth in the NFL since 2022.

It has always been in the 49ers’ best interest to find a way to keep Aiyuk around, and now it seems like that has a good chance of actually happening.
