The New Saints to visit with the 20 year old wide receiver leading up to the draft

With the NFL Draft less than a month away, the New Orleans Saints will begin to make more visits to potential prospects.

According to NOF’s Nick Underhill, the Saints will meet with Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman ahead of the draft.
Coleman, an Opelousas, Louisiana native, began his undergraduate career at Michigan State after excelling at Opelousas Catholic. In two seasons with the Spartans, he caught 65 passes (58 in 2022) for 848 yards (798 in 2022) and eight touchdowns. He also played six games for Tom Izzo’s Michigan State basketball team.

However, he transferred to Florida State for the 2023 season, where he excelled alongside Jordan Travis at quarterback. The shifty receiver caught 50 passes for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns in an offense where he was the second option.

Coleman ran a 4.61 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and jumped 38 inches vertically. He is now being compared to Atlanta Falcons great receiver Drake London, a first-round choice two years ago.

Coleman may not make it out of the first round, so the Black and Gold might trade back into the first round to get him if they’re interested, but we’ll have to keep a watch on the scenario as it unfolds over the next several weeks.
