Kelly Piquet fires back at Jos Verstappen as he backs the woman who accused the Red Bull Racing team boss

The story of Christian Horner has begun a new chapter. Earlier this weekend, it was announced that the woman who accused the Red Bull Racing team’s manager of inappropriate behavior was suspended. Jos Verstappen told the Daily Mail that he supports the woman.

Nonetheless, the father of the three-time world champion has something to say in response to the news that the woman accusing Horner has been suspended: “I sympathise with the woman, with all that she went through, but we will see what happens.”

Verstappen Sr. was also asked if it was time to end the issue. “I believe it is too late for that now. If that’s what he [Horner] wants, that’s fine, but I don’t believe that will be achievable. I don’t want to discuss too much because it will cause complications. But the most important thing for me is that Max is happy; that is all that matters to me; I simply want him to be happy.”

Jos Verstappen is unhappy with his current status with Horner.

Jos says he doesn’t know what is happening with the woman right now: “But everything that’s going on is influencing Max. He finished third in the first practice, and we only hear about Horner and his dilemma. Horner’s news conference the other day focused solely on himself and his difficulties, when we should have been discussing Max, the vehicle, his performance, and the race. I’ve already stated that I believe it will cause problems if he stays.

Kelly Piquet anger towards Jos Verstappen

I know Jos want to help but regarding to the situation i think he has gone too far with his opinions because Max is the one facing it now.

He is not focus as before and it is really draining him, when ever he is not happy am not happy too, now from the beginning of the competition Max is no longer focus because many fans are onto him because his father is talking too much why some drops comments that Jos is acting like Red Bull boss, which is not right for the champion.

Max Verstappen retired early from the Formula One Australian Grand Prix on Sunday. Minutes after retiring, he was seen on television discussing the race with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.

“My right rear brake basically stuck on from when the lights went off,” Verstappen stated at the time. “The temperatures in the automobile just kept rising until it caught fire. They (the mechanics) could see what was going on, but they don’t know what caused it.

“We had a lot of good races in a row, I knew that the day would come when you end up having a retirement and unfortunately that day was today.”

The 26-year-old had previously complained over team radio about “losing the car.” Soon later, smoke emerged at the rear of Verstappen’s car, forcing him into the pits with no possibility of returning.

Verstappen won 19 races last season, the most in Formula One history, on his way to a third consecutive title.

“It’s a shame as the car felt really good in the laps to the grid, but you cannot control these issues and these things happen,” Verstappen stated in a press release.

“Of course, I am disappointed we didn’t finish the race as we had a good shot at winning and the car has been improving throughout the weekend.”
