Crystal Palace injury latest: Oliver Glasner has seven out and one doubt after Bournemouth

Regardless, Glasner hopes to steer his new squad to safety while also establishing his style for the long term. A defeat to Bournemouth last time out won’t have helped matters, although there is still a little margin to the bottom.

Following the clash, there have been a number of developments on the injury front, so here’s the most recent Crystal Palace injury news.

Crystal Palace Injury List
Crystal Palace now has up to eight players missing from their first-team roster due to various ailments. Long-term issues for Sam Johnstone, Cheick Doucoure, and Rob Holding are expected to keep them out of play for a while.

However, because of the injury, Matt Woosnam expects to be sidelined for two to three weeks.

Fulham (A)’s expected comeback date is April 27.

Michael Olise’s latest injuries
Michael Olise is preparing to return to action after a challenging few months due to injuries. The winger worsened an existing injury against Brighton in early February, keeping him out of action ever since.

However, the Evening Standard reports that Olise is likely to return to the squad for the upcoming match against Manchester City.

The expected comeback date for Manchester City (H) is April 6.

Marc Guehi’s latest injury update

Marc Guehi has been out for longer than expected after suffering a knee injury in the Brighton encounter in February. While it was thought that the Crystal Palace defender would return in a few weeks, a treatment was necessary to address the problem.

That placed Guehi back a few weeks, with a return date of mid-to-late April, just in time for the final run-in.

Fulham (A)’s expected comeback date is April 27.

Matheus Franca’s newest injury.
Youngster Matheus Franca is the most recent addition to Crystal Palace’s injured list, having suffered a hip ailment. “Matheus has a groin problem, which makes it a little more difficult because we don’t know when,” Glasner told the official website.

“Always when we increase the intensity of his training, he gets a pain again so I cannot tell exactly when he will be back.”

Expected return date: unknown.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, an academy prospect, recently sustained an injury. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has struggled for minutes this season, dealing with injuries at inconvenient times. The teenager pulled up while attempting to gain fitness with the under-21s, putting him out of play since.

Expected return date: unknown.

Sam Johnstone’s newest injury.

Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering an elbow injury on international duty with England. It’s a major setback for Crystal Palace, who will now have to rely on others to fill the vacuum.

The expected comeback date is pre-season 2024.

Rob Holding’s newest injury.
Defender Rob Holding has made few appearances since arriving from Arsenal in the summer of 2023, most recently owing to injury. An ankle injury necessitated surgery, and the centre-back is set to miss the rest of the season.

Expected return date: unknown.
