BREAKING: Buffalo Bills Owner Puts Team Up For Sale After Raising Prices of…

The Buffalo Bills are apparently looking to sell a portion of the team. The allegation comes weeks after the Bills said they will raise ticket pricing. The Bills appear to be cash-strapped after making the playoffs in six of the previous seven seasons.

According to GH media, Buffalo Bills ticket prices are increasing significantly as the organization prepares to open its new stadium for the 2026 season.

” Season ticket prices are increasing by up to $50,000 per seat:

“According to the Buffalo News, season ticket prices range between $15,000 and $50,000 per seat.” These are the uppermost seats, which include the suites and club seats. This represents a significant hike above the current prices for fans. This is not surprising given how much nicer the new stadium will be. However, this will prevent many of their most loyal supporters from purchasing season tickets each year.

Terry Pegula is exploring options for selling part of the team.

The stadium’s construction has cost more than Terry Pegula expected. According to Tim Graham of The Athletic, the Pegulas must pay over $600 million after the new stadium’s expenses exceeded budget.

According to Graham, the Pegulas intend to sell a non-controlling minority interest in the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills acknowledged to The Athletic that owner Terry Pegula has recruited Florida-based investment bankers Allen & Company to oversee the prospective transaction, but did not specify how much of the franchise is being sold. According to a person briefed on the conversations, the working figure is 25%, although this is not a defined amount.

The Pegulas might not sell.

The Pegulas could eventually decide not to sell the Bills. However, it is currently an option.
The Bills’ valuation (Forbes puts them at $3.7 billion, ranking them 30th in the league) is far lower than that of the typical NFL team. The new stadium costs more than half of Pegula’s team.

Don’t feel sorry for the Pegulas; the Bills are worth $1.3 billion more than they paid for it in 2014.

Bills supporters should expect season ticket costs to rise in subsequent years. Hopefully, the squad on the field remains competitive.
