The Phoenix Suns needed help from all areas as two individual stars are doubted to be…

The Phoenix Suns had a successful 2023-24 NBA season. No one knew where the Suns would end in the standings, which made the season much more exciting. They did, however, finish sixth in the finale and are now eligible for the playoffs.

Some athletes have shown themselves this season. Two of their team’s stars met or exceeded the expectations placed on them. Furthermore, a few role players have contributed significantly to the team’s playoff hopes.

Jusuf Nurkic was one of the standout players, dominating the glass throughout the season. It’s wonderful to see a center be assertive on the glass. Although there are a few flaws in his game, his rebounding compensates. Another player who made an impression was Royce O’Neale.

Following his trade to the Suns, he demonstrated versatility on both ends. The squad benefited from dealing for O’Neale, who is a consistent shooter from beyond the arc. In addition, the forward is an intelligent defender who can cover the majority of the floor.

However, one person astonished viewers and stood out from the crowd: Grayson Allen.

Allen’s first season with the Suns astounded everyone, including those who didn’t expect much from him.
To be honest, when the Suns acquired Allen, I had few expectations for him. The wing player earned a reputation as a dirty player early in his career, which originated from his four-year stint at Duke University. As he entered the NBA, the mythology around him was centered exclusively on his defensive strategies in college. But he has moved away from that type of job and is now a dependable role player.

Before being traded, Allen spent two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a decent starter for the Bucks, averaging double digits in scoring. Fans were also aware that he had decent three-point shooting ability.

His debut game with the Suns was unimpressive, as he had no points and only four rebounds and two assists. Understandably, he struggled because this was his first time playing in Frank Vogel’s system. He started to improve his game in the third game of the season, when he scored 17 points. Allen followed up with two games of more than 15 points.

During that time, the guard went 12-19 from beyond, establishing the pattern of his efficient three-point shooting season. Allen helped the Suns win several games this season. His shooting ability was his most prized offensive attribute, and he did not disappoint. With his shooting, the 6-foot-4 guard had 25 games where he scored at least 15 points.

Allen also led the league in three-point shooting consistency. He shot 46.1 percent from outside the arc, a significant increase over his final season with the Bucks, when he shot 39.9 percent.

The Suns have seen what he can do on the court and decided to give him a new contract. Allen recently inked a four-year contract deal for $70 million to remain in Phoenix. Shortly after signing the new contract, Allen emphasized his desire to stay and play for the team.

“”I enjoy being in Phoenix and believe in what we can accomplish here. Thank you, Mat Ishbia and the group, for welcoming me. I’m delighted to make a long-term commitment to stay in this town and build with this team.””

As the squad prepares for the playoffs, they look on him to assist the stars in their bid for the championship. Many believe Allen is the deciding factor in the Suns’ first-round matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Given his ability to threaten from beyond the arc, he could be the team’s x-factor.
