A Wrexham star has been spotted in the trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film

According to Fearless in Devotion on Twitter, an image of Wrexham’s Ollie Palmer can be seen in the new Deadpool & Wolverine video.

Ryan Reynolds, the club’s proprietor, will reprise his role as the titular comic book character when the film is released in July.

This will be the first edition of the series released since the Hollywood star took over the Welsh firm.

It is the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise, and Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as X-Men’s Wolverine.

This will be the third Deadpool film, but the first to feature any collaboration with the MCU.

Palmer has been noticed in the teaser for the upcoming picture Deadpool & Wolverine.

The striker joined Wrexham from AFC Wimbledon in 2022, when the club was still in the National League.

His goals have helped the Red Dragons to back-to-back League One promotions under Phil Parkinson.

The 32-year-old has acknowledged his involvement in the major motion picture, albeit the amount of his character’s role is uncertain and is most likely a cameo appearance in the background.

Palmer remarked on Instagram, “If you squint…”.

Palmer has six League Two goals this season in 38 games in the fourth division.

The attacker also scored 17 points in the National League, helping Parkinson’s team win the championship with an astounding 111 points.

Given Reynolds’ involvement in helping to boost the club’s global image, it’s no surprise that a Wrexham player appears in the upcoming Deadpool film.

He and co-owner Rob McElhenny have both played significant roles in funding Wrexham’s return to the third tier.

The Wales-based team has not ranked this high in the English football pyramid since 2005.

With an outstanding comeback to League Two this year, the team became immediately competitive.

They secured automatic promotion to League One earlier this month and will head into this weekend’s last game of the season with the goal of finishing second in the table to Mansfield.

McElhenney and Reynolds have also collaborated on a documentary series on the club since taking charge.

Welcome to Wrexham has been a huge success for the League Two team since its debut in 2022, with season three scheduled to begin next month.

Wrexham’s final game of the season will be against Stockport County on April 27 at 3pm.

Reynolds is a well-known figure in Hollywood, but he has also shown to be a successful businessman at Wrexham.

This is a nice move that fans will like, as they will be watching to see if any of their other players appear in the backdrop of the next film.

It’s a wonderful time to be a supporter of the club, especially now that promotion to League One is guaranteed.

Palmer has played an important role in the team’s ascent, so this will be an amazing reward for his efforts, as working on a Hollywood film is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a League Two player.
