Jamie Carragher has told Nottingham Forest to ‘show class’ following their astonishing statement on social media.

Following Nottingham Forest’s astounding social media remark, Jamie Carragher has advised them to’show class’.

Forest have accused the PGMOL of using a Luton Town fan, Stuart Attwell, in the VAR booth for their relegation six-pointer against Everton on Sunday, saying that they even expressed their worries about bias before to the match.

Nottingham Forest are clearly livid as a result of the officiating against Everton

The FA has subsequently announced that they will investigate Forest’s remark, which throws into doubt the game’s integrity.

In addition to losing 2-0, Forest were upset because Ashley Young took down Gio Reyna and Callum Hudson-Odoi throughout the game, as well as appearing to get away with a handball in the first half, none of which resulted in penalties.

A statement read: “Three incredibly terrible decisions, three fines not imposed, which we just cannot tolerate.

“We informed the PGMOL before the game that the VAR is a Luton fan, but they did not change him. Our patience has been challenged several times.

“NFFC will now consider its options.”

Carragher criticized the statement on Sky Sports, saying: “It tells you where we are with the Premier League and the clubs.

“Stuart Attwell and Anthony Taylor had a terrible day today, and they should be held accountable for it.

“I understand the frustration; it might have serious ramifications for Nottingham Forest.

“That, which I’ve just read of social media, that’s like a fan in a pub. That is embarrassing from Nottingham Forest.

“I understand your irritation, but that nonsense about the VAR being a Luton fan, you can’t get involved in.

“You have to exhibit a little bit of class if you’re a football club, and I understand the dissatisfaction. The officials have had a terrible day, but you cannot get involved in it. “That is nonsense!”

Forest great Stan Collymore shared such thoughts, stating on social media: “We’ve now reached a point where official club media channels tweet like fan channels.”

“We have chairman, secretaries, and directors to handle formal concerns. Emotional outbursts and shooting from the hip are self-defeating and serve no purpose in any legitimate dispute. Sorry, but it’s the truth.
