WNBA star Kelsey Plum Giants’ Darren Waller file for divorce after one year of marriage

Kelsey Plum, a two-time WNBA champion, and Darren Waller, a renowned NFL tight end, have filed for divorce after one year of marriage.

Plum, 29, and Waller, 31, filed for divorce in Clark County, Nevada. Plum confirmed the news in a social media post on Tuesday.

“I’m devastated,” Plum posted on X, formerly Twitter. “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to leave. God has given me such a wonderful life, and I am genuinely grateful for the heartfelt affection of my family and friends. One day I’ll tell my story, but this is not the day.”

Plum, who now plays for the Las Vegas Aces, dated Waller for almost a year when he was with the Las Vegas Raiders. Plum was the first overall choice in the 2017 WNBA Draft and won a gold medal in women’s 3×3 basketball at the Olympics in Tokyo. Waller was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2020 and is said to be undecided about whether he will play in 2024 or retire from professional football.
