Sheffield Wednesday could do ‘one of the most ridiculous’ ever in the Championship

Danny Rohl could potentially have one of the’most outrageous achievements’ in Championship history.

Danny Rohl has only been at Sheffield Wednesday for six months, yet he has radically overhauled the team, attitude, and thinking of the club.

When he arrived in October, the Owls were seven points down in the Championship, with many fans anticipating expecting an instant return to the third tier.

Wednesday had not had a particularly successful transfer window and had appeared entirely out of their depth in their first ten games under Xisco Munoz.

Rohl arrived with little management experience, but he was full of confidence and ideas.

The Yorkshire outfit has now won 13 games in a row and was able to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time since the season began.

With only two games remaining and only one point above the relegation zone, Wednesday’s Championship status is now guaranteed to come down to the last day.

They may need to defeat both West Brom and Sunderland to stay up, but Rohl is the sole reason the club has such a chance.

Danny Rohl might be poised to do something ‘crazy’.
Speaking on Second Tier pod, pundit Ryan Dilks suggested that Rohl’s ability to keep Wednesday up could be ‘one of the most absurd accomplishments we have ever seen at Championship level’.

“We will always give massive praise to Danny Rohl,” Dilks stated in a statement.

“Even if they fall, he deserves a lot of credit for leading them to the brink of staying up…” However, the fact that they are suddenly outside of the bottom three is one of the most absurd feats we have ever witnessed at Championship level.

“Whether he can pull it off and keep them up remains to be seen. He’s a little unfortunate that he’s done this at the same season as Kieran McKenna at Ipswich, because else he’d be running away with manager of the season, but it’s still an incredible accomplishment.”

Sheffield Wednesday would be in danger if they lost Rohl.
Many football fans may doubt the buzz around Danny Rohl after spending so many months in the relegation zone.

However, if the season had begun when the 34-year-old was appointed, they would be flying high in 15th position, eleven points above the bottom three.

Rohl was given a massive task when he arrived and has entirely turned things around at the club, imposing superb form that unquestionably deserves to stay up.

If they don’t get it done, it will be a very gloomy finale to the season, and the German may be forced to leave Hillsborough permanently.

Wednesday could be in serious trouble if Rohl leaves, because he truly feels like a one-in-a-million manager. There is no doubt that he could do wonders for the team, but if they get relegated and lose him, it will be like waking up from a dream.
