Roberto De Zerbi addressed the Albion’s ‘difficult’ phase of performance in a post-game press conference.
He stated: “We are experiencing a challenging season, particularly in the last two to three months…” We need to find the energy to complete the season in a unique way. We cannot tolerate a game without soul because we are Brighton, and we must maintain respect for ourselves, our club, and our supporters.
“I’m terribly sorry. I’m in a lot of pain, but I’ve been working in football for 30 years and I know this can happen at any time, and we must act immediately to stop it.
“I believe we started well in the game before conceding the goal. We had enough of playing, and then the game changed for no apparent reason.”
