The Warriors’ 2023-24 season was a big disappointment. While they were not seen as strong title candidates prior to the season, few anticipated them to miss the playoffs entirely after losing to the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
With the highest salary in the league at $224 million, their season outcomes are even more terrible, which is why the roster will undoubtedly alter this summer. Klay Thompson is anticipated to test his value in free agency, while Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green are likely to be mentioned in trade rumors in the coming months.
However, while some long-time team veterans may play elsewhere next season, NBC Sports Golden State Warriors analyst Monte Poole feels a reunion with Kevin Durant is also possible. The summer Olympics may be where discussions regarding the proposal begin.
