Breaking: Nottingham Forest face deadline to sell particular star to avoid new points deduction

According to insiders who spoke with Football Insider, Nottingham Forest has to offload one of its best players by June 30 in order to address their financial predicament.

If Forest doesn’t balance the books in the coming weeks, they could be in danger of losing further points the following season due to possible violations of the Premier League’s sustainability and profit policies.

The Reds were warned they ran the risk of breaking the regulations once more this season by the original independent committee, which punished them with a four-point punishment in March of this year.

It would imply that by the deadline at the end of June, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team would need to turn a profit of about £30 million from player sales.

Nottingham Forest needs to sell a key player by the deadline.
Since receiving their four-point reduction for breaking the expenditure regulations, Forest has had a difficult few months.

Their request for the punishment to be lessened was denied by an appeal board, which upheld the initial ruling.

Thus, going into the final few games of the Premier League season, the Reds are still three points ahead of Luton Town, who are now in third place.

Even though Forest’s financial worries would be somewhat alleviated by winning the championship, they would still probably need to sell one of their key players.

Football Insider reported on May 5 that because several Premier League teams have been keeping an eye on Brazilian defender Murillo, they might have to trade him this summer.
Attackers Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White are also expected to draw attention; Football Insider has revealed that the Reds are seeking a fee of at least £50 million to approve a deal for the latter.

As he attempts to advance in the upcoming season, Nuno won’t want to lose any of those players, but he might be forced to due to financial fair play problems with the team.

In other developments, an expert claims that Nottingham Forest is making PSR the “scapegoat” for a recent development.
